Biography

Sadie Sanders, Ph.D., CHES is a senior lecturer and undergraduate coordinator in the Department of Health Education and Behavior. A graduate of HHP, Sanders received her doctorate degree in health behavior with a minor in medical sociology. At this time, Sanders was named Graduate Student of the Year from the Department of Health Education and Behavior.

In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Sanders provides her expertise in the health research area as a focus group moderator and report writer. She has also served as an addictions therapist and substance abuse specialist, as well as an HIV/AIDS awareness and education trainer for Meridian Behavioral Healthcare, Inc.

She is also the past secretary for the state of Florida’s Reducing Racial and Ethnic Health Disparity Advisory Committee, appointed by the Florida Secretary of Health.
