HHP Student Ambassadors

Ambassadors serve as student representatives of the College of Health and Human Performance (HHP) to represent the college at recruiting, alumni and UF community events. They are an outstanding group of students who are chosen to foster meaningful interactions between alumni, faculty/staff, current/prospective students and friends of the College. We are looking for passionate and dedicated HHP students to represent the college and leave a lasting impact on future HHP generations.

Ambassador Responsibilities
Ambassadors serve as the “face” of the College and work closely with college faculty, staff and prospective students. They serve in a variety of capacities including but not limited to serving as co-presenters to prospective students and families, tabling at fairs, assisting with college event set-up/break down, and networking with college faculty, alumni/donors and potential employers/community partners.
Ambassadors typically represent the college at the following events:
- Freshman Preview (co-present during college sessions)
- New Student Convocation/HHP Fall Welcome
- HHP Football Tailgate
- HHP Internship and Fair
- Admissions Open Houses
- Florida Days recruitment events (co-present during college sessions)
- UF Majors and Minors Fair
- HHP Spring Awards
- Various other HHP events (Stanley Lecture Series, visiting campus groups, tabling/recruiting, etc.)
Become an Ambassador
College of Health & Human Performance students are eligible to apply if the following conditions are met:
- Minimum 3.0 UF GPA with good academic standing in major
- Must have been enrolled in an HHP undergraduate (bachelors) major for at least 1 semester
- Must not graduate before the following spring semester
- Must have the ability to participate in-person for campus events
Applications for the 2025-2026 year are now closed. Applications for the 2026-2027 year will open in early February. Be sure to check The Pulse for announcements regarding applications.
All completed applications will be reviewed. Selected candidates will be invited to participate in an interview.
Following the interview process, students chosen for the HHP Ambassadors Program will be required to attend a mandatory training session in mid-April. Preference will be given to applicants who can commit to participating for the full academic year.
If selected, Ambassadors will be expected to:
- Attend a mandatory training sessions in mid-April (date/time TBA). A fall welcome back meeting will be held in early September.
- Work a minimum of three events per semester. Most events take place during business hours (Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.), however, some events may occur on evenings (Spring Awards) or Saturdays (HHP tailgate).
- Remain in good academic standing with the University of Florida and the College of Health & Human Performance
