To qualify (minimally) for admission to HHP, transfer applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Completion of a minimum of 60 transferable credit hours (preference extended to students earning an AA degree from a Florida public community college, state college or university);
- A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA;
- Completion of the required prerequisite courses with a minimum prerequisite GPA. Note: Preference will be extended to students who have completed a majority of prerequisite courses at time of application.
- Prospective transfers from Florida public community colleges, state colleges or universities can refer to the Common Prerequisite Manual using the Florida Virtual Campus website.

- Submit the UF undergraduate admissions application. The application and fee must be submitted to UF Office of Admissions, along with transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.

- HHP will evaluate your admission application to determine whether you meet admissions requirements. Admission evaluation factors include academic record, cumulative GPA, performance in prerequisite coursework, extent to which the applicant exceeds minimum requirements, and achievements and career goals as stated by the student.
- The UF Office of Admissions will notify you of your admission decision via the admission portal by the posted notification deadline.
- If admitted, you will receive a welcome letter/email from HHP outlining any conditions of your admission, as well as the next steps to take.
Transfer to hhp

For application information, transfer students should refer to the admission as a transfer section of the UF Undergraduate Catalog. Within space and fiscal limitations, applicants from other institutions who have satisfied minimum requirements will be considered for admission at the junior level.
Florida community college applicants to the College of Health & Human Performance (HHP) must complete an Associate of Arts degree and meet all university and college-specific requirements. Admission evaluation factors include academic record, cumulative grade point average, performance in prerequisite courses, extent to which the applicant exceeds minimum requirements, and achievements and career goals as stated by the student. The admission review process is a holistic review of the applicant’s overall record and potential in the chosen academic field. Students who complete prerequisite courses outside the state system (students who attend out-of-state, private and/or international institutions) must submit course descriptions to the department adviser.
Transfer admission is limited and extremely competitive. Priority will be given to applicants who have completed an AA degree from a Florida public community college, state college or university, per the State of Florida Articulation Agreement. HHP accepts a limited number of transfer students during Fall and Spring semesters only based on space and fiscal availability.
Applied Physiology & Kinesiology Transfer Admissions Requirements
The Applied Physiology & Kinesiology Bachelor of Science program (APK) does not offer specializations. The curriculum provides students the opportunity to pursue academic interests, student experiences and employment opportunities at clinical and research-oriented educational institutions, health agencies and organizations, corporate or private fitness programming centers, and other health-related business and industry opportunities.
Note: For prerequisite course numbers, # can be the number 1 or 2 (e.g. BSC1010 or 2010).
All applicants are required to submit the Letter of Intent Form. Applications missing this form will be considered incomplete and admission will be denied.
Transfer students must complete specific prerequisite courses prior to their enrollment at UF. The BS-APK major requires a minimum 2.8 prerequisite GPA and a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA.

Health Education Transfer Admissions Requirements
- The Health Education Bachelor of Science program (HEB) offers specializations in Community Health Promotion and Health Studies. Students learn techniques to promote healthy lifestyle choices in individual and group settings with special attention given to health education methodologies.
The degree program allows students maximum flexibility to choose department specialization coursework during junior and senior years that relates to personal interests in the health field. Students can focus their studies on interest areas in community and public health education, health promotion in the worksite setting or general health studies as they prepare for professional health occupations.

The Community Health Promotion specialization prepares students with a primary interest in community and public health education, or worksite health promotion. This specialization is also appropriate for students planning to pursue graduate programs in health education or related fields; or pre-health professional programs such as Nursing or Occupational Therapy.

Sport Management Transfer Admissions Requirements
The Sport Management Bachelor of Science program (SPM) does not offer specializations. The curriculum enables students to ethically apply the fundamental concepts of management, marketing, finance, and law to sport organizations. Coursework prepares students for management and leadership positions with professional sports teams, intercollegiate and intramural athletics, and recreation programs at colleges, universities and amateur athletic organizations.
Transfer students must complete specific prerequisite courses prior to their enrollment at UF. The Sport Management Bachelor of Science program (SPM) requires a minimum 2.2 prerequisite GPA and a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Transfer admission is competitive. Applicants should have a 3.5 cumulative GPA and a 3.5 pre-requisite GPA to be a competitive applicant.

Tourism, Hospitality & Event Management Transfer Admissions Requirements
The Bachelor of Science in Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management program (THEM) offers three specializations depending on a student’s academic interest, career goals and academic capabilities: General, Tourism & Hospitality Management and Event Management.
