Biography

Dr. Tripp is a Clinical Professor and Director of the Graduate Athletic Training and the Doctor of Athletic Training programs in the Department of Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), Southeast Athletic Trainers’ Association (SEATA), and Athletic Trainers’ Association of Florida (ATAF).

Dr. Tripp serves as District 9’s representative on the NATA’s Post Professional Education Committee. He was recognized by ATAF with the Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award in 2016.

Dr. Tripp holds numerous professional certifications including Certified Athletic Trainer, Golf Medical Professional, Golf Fitness Instructor and Emergency Medical Technician. He teaches, conducts research and reviews manuscripts and textbooks in the fields of Athletic Training, Sports Medicine and Biomechanics.

Dr. Tripp has published and presented research nationally and internationally on topics including scapular kinematics, overhead-throwing athletes, diagnostic imaging, law and policies and procedures, golf biomechanics and kinetics, effects of fatigue on neuromuscular control. Dr. Tripp serves as an expert witness and consultant in litigation matters regarding athletic training.
