Biography
Dr. Blain Harrison joined APK in 2016 as a Lecturer and the Internship Coordinator for the undergraduate and graduate APK programs. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, and a Ph.D. in Sports Medicine all from the University of Virginia along with a Master’s of Science in Athletic Training from Virginia Commonwealth University. He serves as the program director for the Strength and Conditioning Practitioner concentration within the MS-APK degree. He holds the following industry certifications: NSCA CSCS*D, NSCA TSAC-F, ISSN – CISSN, NASM – CES, NASM – PES, FMS Levels 1 and 2, SFMA Levels 1 and 2. Each of his graduate courses is designed to prepare students to pass one or more of these certifications. He also leads a study abroad program to Sydney, Australia each summer that is open to undergraduate and graduate APK students.
