International Students
We welcome applications from international clinicians credentialed through the BOC International Arrangement process. International students planning to apply to the Doctor of Athletic Training (DAT) program applicants must successfully challenge the Board of Certification (BOC) examination.
Please review the University of Florida International Center (UFIC) information and ensure you have the necessary document(s) to process your international admission through the university, including visa requirements. International students must provide evidence of English language proficiency as outline by the University. Please review information regarding acceptable scores and exemptions.
Because of immigration and visa requirements, visa type influences an international student’s eligibility for funded work experiences. International students entering on an F1 visa may be eligible for funding.
The Athletic Training Resident positions contract students for .50 FTE and provide scholarship support for tuition. For our international students, following admission, the advanced clinical practice hours required within the DAT program requires additional approval of part-time Curricular Practical Training (CPT) during matriculation. For additional information about employment and CPT, please visit the University of Florida International Center.
