Endowed Faculty Appointments
Celebrating Endowed Faculty Appointments
May 8, 2024
This year, the University of Florida College of Health and Human Performance hosted four celebrations recognizing senior faculty and their endowed appointments, three of which were conferred to faculty during the ceremony.
The ceremonies are rooted in academe and mark a significant milestone in the career of the accomplished scholar. Not only are the ceremonies a celebration of each faculty member’s achievements, but also a testament to the institution’s education and research.
The UF and college community were invited to attend each of the ceremonies which included introductions by colleagues and a keynote lecture by the scholar highlighting their research and expertise. A reception followed each ceremony.

“An endowed professorship allows our college to permanently fund a faculty member, supplementing salary and research funding. These appointments, endowed by generous members of our community, help us attract and retain top talent and enhance the reputation of our college.”
– Michael Reid, Dean
