James Di Virgilio (MSSPM ’05)
Financial planner, Gator 100 honoree and UF lecturer
James is co-founder of Chacon Diaz & Di Virgilio Wealth Management, a 2015 UF Gator 100 honoree, and an independent Registered Investment Advisor and fee-only fiduciary firm that works with clients across the United States. He earned his undergraduate degree cum laude from the Warrington College of Business and his Master’s from HHP. He is a Certified Investment Management Analyst® as well as a Certified Financial Planner.™
As an adjunct professor and regular lecturer at UF, James works with the College of Pharmacy, College of Engineering, the University Athletic Association, the Warrington College of Business and others. He was president of the Gainesville Sports Commission, an organization bringing millions of dollars into the Gainesville community through sports tourism, and is also the creator of the Entrepreneur’s Lunch which aims to help Gainesville support its growing entrepreneurial scene. Another endeavor is the Gator Nation Football Podcast—an in-depth and analytical show that James co-created and co-hosts—which has had over 10,000 listeners.
